Who I am and Why I'm coding

Hi my name's Olivia but some people call me Olive. I am currently a sophomore at the Canon City High School and I am interested in learning to better understand how to code and what coding really is. So far, I have only learned the basics but am very excited to keep learning more! The reason I'm looking into code is because my friend Paisley and I are going to be creating a website for our capstone project. The website will be an educational crossword puzzle/game that with be used to help children better understand mathmatics, vocabulary, and inhance their spelling skills.

What Are Some of my Future Goals?

1. One thing I hope to accomplish/achieve in the future is attending college. I feel like this would be huge accomplishment because not a lot of people in my family have graduated or even been to college. This would also mean a lot to me because I'd like to have something to look forward to after high school and somewhat know what I'm going to/want to do with my life.
2. Another thing I want to accomplish in the future is going to Seattle, whether that be for college or just to live for awhile. I want to acheive this because it's something I've always planned/wanted to do.
3. Lastly, I want to one day have a job that I'll like and one I'll be able to support my future family and I with too. The reason I value this so much is because I want my family to have everything they need and earn everything they may want.

My Cat Poppy :)

I got my cat Poppy about a year and a half ago from my Grandpa. His cat had a litter of kittens and offered to give me one, so obviously I couldn't say no to that. Poppy isn't always the kindest but she's ususally pretty nice to the people she's used to. Poppy is a calico cat and weights about 7 pounds. Poppy likes to lay by my feet while I'm alseep and waits for me while im downstairs in the kitchen.I'm so happy to have a friend like Poppy and wouldn't know what I'd do wothout her.

Favorite Subject In School

My favorite subject in School has to math. The reason I like math so much is because of how much problem solving goes along with it. I think it's important to know how to problem solve because we will definitley have to solve problems of our own no matter where we are in life.
